Student Bios

Read about some of the achievements of recent Eagle Academy graduating seniors.

Roberto H.
Roberto is the first student in Eagle Academy's history to be accepted to the prestigious United State Military Academy at West Point. West Point has had only two minority cadets from New York City in recent years. Roberto has been enrolled in college courses since the second semester of his sophomore year. He has earned 12 college credits from Baruch College, Syracuse University, and Bronx Community College, before high school graduation.

Brandon B.
Brandon is currently ranked fifth in his class, boasting a 92 GPA. He has received acceptances to such prestigious institutions as Marist College, Seton Hall University, and Baruch College. He will be attending Syracuse University in the fall where he plans to major in Finance. Brandon has earned 12 college credits over the past two years. He has received $32,000 in scholarships and grants from Syracuse.

Terrell B.
Terrell is the valedictorian of his graduating class and will be attending Carnegie Mellon University this fall. He plans on majoring in Economics. He was accepted at 10 competitive colleges and universities, including Washington University in St Louis, Emory University, Trinity College, Union College, and Baruch College.

Andre C.
Andre will be attending St. Lawrence University and has received more than $50,000 in grants and scholarships .He will have a pre-med focus in college with his eyes set on becoming a physician. Andre has been an active participant in the NYU Mini-Meds, Fordham STEP, and the Mentoring in Medicine programs.

Alex W.
Alex is an aspiring educator. He wants to change the world by positively influencing lives of young people. Alex will be continuing his educational journey at Skidmore College where he plans on majoring in education. He has been offered over $54,000 in scholarships and grants (full-ride via HEOP). In addition to being a model Eagle Scholar, Alex has been an active participant in the Legal Outreach and Summer Search programs.

Andre A.
Andre is the second Posse Foundation Scholarship winner in our school's history. He has earned a tuition-free scholarship valued at over $140,000. He will attend Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin in the fall. Andre is the co-editor-in-chief of the Eagle Eye student newspaper and plans to major in Journalism.
