Eagle Academy-Ocean Hill/Brownsville opened in 2008 with an incoming class of 6th graders. A grade is added each year, until this campus serves grades 6-12 in 2014.
- NYC requires students to pass 5 Regents exams to graduate high school. 100% of the 8th graders took 3 regents exams in June 2011; 75% of them passed. 26% of the same class passed the Algebra 1 regents exam while in the 7th grade.
- When the inaugural class entered Eagle in the sixth grade, only 17% were reading at grade level. As of June 2011, 84% of the same students are reading on or above grade level.
- Received an A on the DOE report card - was the only school in district 23 to receive an A and outperformed 85% of the middle schools in NYC.
- Maintained a 94.7% attendance rate in 2010/2011.
- Received more than 1600 applications for 84 6th grade slots in September 2011.
