OHBM respond
The One Hundred Black Men, Inc. (OHBM) responded to the dire crisis facing our male youth by founding the Eagle Academy for Young Men. When the doors to the first Eagle Academy for Young Men opened in the Bronx in 2004, it was the first all male public high school to open in New York City in 30 years.
One Hundred Black Men, Inc. has a proud and rich history supporting educational programs in the community. Since its inception in 1963, One Hundred Black Men, Inc. has committed its resources and efforts towards building strong education programs and supporting effective education policies. OHBM believes that education is critical to the success of our youth as they aspire to realize their goals and dreams while contributing to the community at the same time. One Hundred Black Men continues to be committed to the belief that every child deserves a good education.
Guided by the belief that "what they see, is what they'll be", the One Hundred Black Men also supports the Eagle Academy for Young Men by providing mentors for our students.
