Programs
The Eagle Academy Summer Bridge program is a six week program focusing on comprehensive testing, assessment and intensive subject review in Mathematics and English, Critical Thinking, Cultural Awareness and Student Development. This program also integrates the beginnings of our College Prep Program. We use the Summer Bridge as an important opportunity to communicate to our students the importance of their academic profile and academic requirements for graduation.
Students receive daily instruction in reading, writing and participate in writing exercises throughout the program. The Summer Bridge program provides active learning experiences for each student to prepare them for their future academic experience at Eagle Academy. Each student is required to read and comment on a book over the course of the summer and is also provided with an additional book to read during the remainder of the summer with an assignment that is to be completed prior to the fall semester. Students are also engaged in expository writing exercises that emphasize personal discovery and expounds on their personal strengths and goals.
